About Us
Mezoozah Boutique & Corner Sweets has provided quality home decor, apparel, gifts and more for the past 11 years.
Carrie Surratt and Megan Randig, are a mother-daughter team from Central Texas. We first became interested in the product 11 years ago when we began selling the product at major trade shows in the North/Central Texas area, and were blessed with the opportunity to become the new owners in early January 2013. Our goals for this company are to continue serving God first and to use this as a ministry to not only our workers, but our customers as well.
Why the word Mezoozah? What does it mean? The word Mezoozah, actually spelled mezuzah, is a reference to one of the 613 commandments in Judaism, which required that a small parchment, or scroll, be affixed to each doorpost and gate in a Jewish home, place of worship, and business. The word mezuzah can refer to any of the following: A doorpost of a permanent door, gate, or arch. The special parchment with the required Hebrew inscriptions. The small case or box that typically covers the parchment.
In direct relationship to the meaning of mezuzah and where they are placed in a home, office, or place of worship, we design all of our products in such a way that they complement spaces that are generally found above or beside doorways, in entry-ways, and in other noticeable places in a home, office, or place of worship.
Since we have established what a mezuzah is, many of you might wonder, "Why does it matter?" Our purpose is found in the needs of men, women, and families of faith that desire to adorn and accessorize their homes, offices, or places of worship with Scriptures from the Bible or sayings of sentiment that express their beliefs. In Deuteronomy 6:9, in reference to the commandments that God had given the Israelites, Moses wrote, "Write them (the commandments) on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." And, in Deuteronomy 11:20, 21, Moses also wrote, "Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and days of your children may be many in the land." Mezoozah, in response to God's command through Moses to write commandments, or scripture, on the door frames of our homes and on our gates (entry way), believe it is our purpose to design, produce, and deliver a handmade, quality product that is faith based to those who wish to decorate and adorn their homes, offices, or places of worship with verses from the Bible. Furthermore, it is our hope that our product will inspire and encourage those who purchase our products.
This website represents the devotion of our many workers in providing hand-crafted home decor using our own personal touch. The ministry provides a person's touch to our product instead of a machine as each piece is hand-painted, hand stenciled, hand-crafted specifically to your liking.
We have been blessed by a fabulous customers who continue to support our company every day. Our greatest satisfaction comes from lasting relationships with you, our customer. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support you have provided this company over the years. For new customers we look forward to working with you to provide exactly what you would like for your store.
May God continue to bless you,
The Team at Mezoozah
